Can you get a different type of drunk with different types of liquor?

I have only had vodka, but I was wondering if you get a differnt sort of buzz from another type of liquor like tequila, rum, or everclear. When I have vodka I usually just feel tired and laugh at just about anything. But would my reaction to different types of alcohol be any different? Which is more fun for you to drink and how do you react differently?|||Yes!, it all goes down to your own body and what it can can handle, whether the drink was distilled, brewed or fortified, and what the drink was made from, the chemicals involved in the process....etc.


Gin, for example, is made from juniper berries, long used as a depressant, other forms of alcohol are an anti-depressant, like tequila and rum is basically just pure sugar.


Basically, different people are affected different ways by different alcoholic drinks.


For me personally, I can drink beer or white wine all day and rarely even suffer from a hangover, but hit me with hard liquor, and I'm a dribbling mess that night, and suffer for it the next morning.


You just have to learn what you can handle, and it's all trial and error.|||I don't think so.


I got tipsy off beer, and some other stuff


and i just started running around laughing like an idiot.|||Gin makes me cry. Not a clue why.|||all the people i know get mean when they drink hard liquor but you get a more giggly sensation with wine, and beer is just a good ol drujnk feeling|||I think so....For me it makes a difference. Tequila makes me wild, Whisky makes me chill as well as wine. To answer the question as best i can i know when i drink wine or spirits it gives me more of a hangover especially when mixing with soda, it dehydrates you more i guess. Drinking energy drinks and alcohol like vodka gets me a really weird drunk but i like it.|||Well, you can get knocked on your butt with White Lightning, especially Puerto Rico's brand of it.|||Yea it all depends on how much it is. Like a 3oz shot of tequila is the same a a can of beer.|||Yes, thats true for me,Red wine makes me sad, Vodka makes me feel good and Tequila well I dont drink that anymore because it makes me want to fight everybody and its usually my husband that got it bad.lol YEP Tequila turns me into an ***!|||i think you just get a different type of hangover|||yes you do get different kinds of reactions from diffrent types of liquor.|||The answer is as individual as the person drinking. I get mean when I drink tequila, mellow on Rum, drunk as _heck_ on whiskey (which is to say, up all night, spinning,) and just cruise along in a slightly silly mood on beer.





But yeah.. different boozles seem to affect different folk in different ways.





I know people who are absolutely the opposite to me, though.. beer gets them drunker than anything, and they can drink Jack and Coke till the cows come home and pass a sobriety test without a second thought.|||Tequila is different for sure. Try it and tell me otherwise.
