How do I go about getting a one-night Liquor License for a profit-making event?

A friend and I are trying to hold a one-night event where we will be selling alcohol and are trying to find information on getting a liquor license. The event will be held in British Columbia. The only information I can find is on Special Occasion Licenses, and those are strictly for charities and fundraisers. We are trying to hold even to make money. What kind of liquor license do we need for that?
