What liquor goes well with tomato based pasta?

If any? Besides the standard wines -- what other options for liquor go well with pasta for a more semi-casual dinner.|||A vodka drink, especially one with a citrus juice, would go well with the acidity of the tomatoes.

Personally, I think a nice, cold beer goes well with red sauce.|||Well, besides the obvious answer being wine, I would go for a beer....its a universal beverage that accompanies any kind of food. I personally would go for an unpretentious beer like Michelob, not the light or the ultra-light, but just good ol' Michelob and let me tell you, it pairs extremely well with Italian! Remember, you don't want a heavy beer with your pasta!!|||Most of the red varietals will do nicely. Beer also makes a nice accompaniment to pasta. Most hard liquors will have an overpowering taste and detract from the food. Best served before or after the meal, not during.|||Besides wine...

I think a martini would be nice with pasta, or a beer|||Jack Daniels the drink that goes with anything!

mmmmm JD|||ouzo|||Beer. An India pale ale|||GREY GOOSE MIXED WITH YOUR FAVORITE JUICE..

IT WILL DO THE TRICK EVER TIME..
