Why are some airline passengers allowed to have liquor bottles in luggage?

More than 3 oz of liquid in passenger carry-on is blocked, but some say that liquor bottles are allowed. What could be in those? Is there a CO2 flooding system for the cargo holds?|||Only liquor or other liquids purchased after the check point is permitted in the cabin.





Alcohol is permitted in checked luggage, within quantity and concentration limits. From the TSA web page:

Please note, you can鈥檛 take alcoholic beverages with more than 70% alcohol content (140 proof), including 95% grain alcohol and 150 proof rum, in your checked luggage.





You may take up to five liters of alcohol with alcohol content between 24% and 70% per person as checked luggage if it鈥檚 packaged in a sealable bottle or flask.





Alcoholic beverages with less than 24% alcohol content are not subject to hazardous materials regulations.

Items with less than 24 % alcohol will put out a fire rather than contribute to it.


Items between 24 and 70% are limited in quantity because of the flammability issues, and that is why anything over 70% is not allowed.|||if passengers have liquor in their carry-ons it's because they bought it inside the airport and it has already been screened before it's sold.|||Because some people maybe black
