What happens to the liquor if the bottle that holds it is half opened, or the top is slightly ajared?

I have a liquor bottle that has been opened couple of days ago, but the lid doesnt close fully, so im wondering what would happen to the liquor in maybe two months not being touched?

Would it still be the same thing?

Would the liquor evaporate a little and turn into some harmful chemical?

Can this liquor still be drank, without any negative side effects?|||What kind of liquor is in the bottle. Vodka, gin, whiskey, cognac, tequila will be fine. You might lose some from evaporation, but that is more likely to happen if there is no cap in the bottle. If it is a liqueur and it has a cream base to it, it will have already spoiled. If it is rum you have to find something to seal it otherwise you'll have a bottle full of dead fruit flies, they love the smell of the distilled sugar cane.|||The alcohol evaporates.|||wine, whiskey %26amp; women get better w/ age|||Put a piece of saran wrap over top of bottle, then put cap on.|||I think the alcohol will evaporate a little, other then that liquor should be OK.. unless it state that it needs to be refrigerated.|||curmudgeon is right, the alcohol will evaporate and leave you with a bottle of liquid with no punch!
