I bought two bottles of this liquor that was on sale, big mistake. One is open but the other isn't and I would like to exchange it for another liquor instead. Are there any laws against returning alcohol that has not been opened?|||In almost every state it IS illegal for them to take a liquor bottle back once it has left the store. The only way to know is to call the liquor store you bought it from and ask what the laws are for your state and if they do returns. Hopefully you have the receipt. ;D|||If you have a recent receipt and the bottle has not been tampered with, you should not have a problem.
But, if you bought it on sale and the store has a no return on sales policy, then you are out of luck.
Best thing to do would then be to give it away.|||No law against it, however, you bought it. The liquor store is under no obligation to take it back just because you don't like it.|||depends on the store usually the answer is no.
